From the beginning in the fifties, with smelters at Porta Milano in Brescia, despite using "traditional" technology, co.fe.mo. distinguished themselves by an innovative rationalization of the work process, which initially permitted a rapid expansion of the company (on both production and organizational levels).


The great flexibility of the production process allowed a unique diversification in the type of production and a further expansion of co.fe.mo. In the eighties, hence, the necessity to build the new establishment at Castegnato with its excellent industrial architecture, conceived according to rigorous functional and environmental priorities.

Since the nineties, the human and technological components have always been fundamental for co.fe.mo. and have constantly characterized the growth and development of the company and its products, and likewise consistent continuity has guaranteed the reliability, precision and sturdiness of the products: accessories, bases and mechanisms for office chairs. For years co.fe.mo. has been making products of the highest quality and the most advanced technology in the world; which has allowed them to widen their market presence beyond Italy with a vast and heterogeneous clientele.

All of this means more than forty years of sturdiness, very careful performance, technology and rationalization of the production process but above all years of respect for people and materials such as aluminium as well as attention to details and continuous project testing that makes co.fe.mo. proudly state that it really gets "to the bottom of everything".

It is with this tradition that co.fe.mo. asserts to have been one of the companies most attentively involved in the research, production and study of new applications for ergonomics. The whole production of co.fe.mo. concentrates on the entire application of the office chair: from the mechanical resistance of the components to the ergonomics and applicability of the complete chair in all its parts without overlooking the unique Italian design. These factors have brought the company a clear identity over the years, from the birth to the consolidation of a real "co.fe.mo. style", recognizable for the quality, form, design, mechanical resistance and reliability of its products.

Now, co.fe.mo. has revamped the R & D, directors and commercial departments as well as invested heavily on innovation and production. Clearly, co.fe.mo.'s future is on a new up swing and this Brief history will have to be updated in a few years again to outline the positive results which will follow these latest courageous moves.
